Broker Engagement Series: Risk, Real Talk & Results (In-Person/SABOR)

09-Sep-2026 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Continental breakfast included
CE credit pending approval

The risks facing today’s brokerages are evolving. Are you prepared for what’s next?
Don’t miss the kickoff of SABOR’s Broker Engagement Series—an exclusive morning of candid conversation, expert guidance, and practical strategies created for brokers and real estate leaders.
This isn’t another routine industry event. It’s a rare opportunity to hear directly from three seasoned professionals who understand brokerage risk from the legal, insurance, and day-to-day operational perspectives.

Meet the Panel
Stephan B. “Steve” Rogers
With more than three decades of legal experience, Steve represents real estate brokers in litigation, TREC disciplinary proceedings, TXR ethics complaints, and general counsel matters. A frequent speaker on real estate risk management, industry best practices, and emerging legal developments, Steve is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law and brings exceptional insight into the legal challenges brokerages face.

Henry Font
An insurance broker with NewMark Insurance Brokers LLC, Henry will offer an insider’s perspective on insurance exposure, coverage considerations, and the steps brokerages can take to better protect their agents, operations, and bottom line.

Marilyn O’Neill
As Risk Manager for multiple Keller Williams market centers, Marilyn works directly with brokerage leaders and agents to manage risk in real time. An experienced trainer who teaches nearly every day, she brings a practical, boots-on-the-ground perspective shaped by years of helping brokerages address compliance and reduce exposure.
Together, this powerhouse panel will explore the situations that can put your agents, transactions, reputation, and brokerage at risk—and what you can do about them.
You’ll also receive an important association update from SABOR Chairman Ed Zapata and CEO Gilbert Gonzalez, along with the opportunity to connect with fellow brokers and industry leaders over a continental breakfast.

Why You Need to Be in the Room
• Hear candid insights from legal, insurance, and brokerage risk experts
• Learn practical strategies you can put to work immediately
• Better protect your agents, clients, transactions, and business
• Stay current on legal developments, compliance concerns, and industry risks
• Receive timely news and insights directly from SABOR leadership
• Connect with the people shaping our local real estate industry

Designed for designated REALTORS®, managing brokers, broker associates, team leaders, and real estate professionals responsible for compliance, risk management, or agent oversight.
The strongest brokerages don’t wait for problems to happen—they prepare for them.
Space is limited. Reserve your seat and be part of the conversation brokers can’t afford to miss.
